What is the PPL Electrical Safety Contest?
The PPL Electrical Safety Contest is for students in grades K-8 in the schools throughout the delivery of the company service area. Each year, PPL will decide on a theme for the students a poster on electrical safety to create. Students may crayons, pencils or paints. Winning students receive shares of PPL Corporation. The 8 Grand Prize posters will be distributed to PPL Electrical Safety Poster featured calendar that each year in January for all participating schools. Teachers of the Grand Prize winner will receive an engraved plaque for display in their class or school trophy case. The calendar will reinforce the safety of electrical PPL message throughout the year.
The following is a timeline of the contest:
Contest information will be sent to schools in August, it has the teachers in their mailboxes when they return to school. Deadline for submitting teacher to student posters is 31 October. The winners will be selected and announced in November. PPL Electrical Safety Poster Calendars are printed and distributed within PPL and to schools by January.
